Guided by close to 45 years of delivering the highest quality of dermatology expertise developed through his private practice in Beverly Hills, teaching younger doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UCLA, and frequent lecturing to colleagues, Dr. Harry Saperstein formulates the most effective medical solutions for each patient's individual complex needs. He is sought after not only by the patients themselves, but by dermatologic colleagues and other medical professionals for his opinions and solutions. Dr. Saperstein prides himself in not only providing the maximal level of care for his patients young and old, but recognizing each patient is a unique individual who requires a one-of-a-kind approach to maximize their benefit.

Although the majority of his practice serves young and senior adults, Dr. Saperstein also has expertise in the dermatologic needs of children and newborns. Dr. Saperstein helped establish the Pediatric Dermatology Clinics at both UCLA and Cedars-Sinai and had been Chairman of Pediatric Dermatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

A board certified dermatologist, Dr. Saperstein graduated from Pomona College Phi Beta Kappa and received his M.D. education and training at the University of Southern California's School of Medicine where he was a President of AOA, the Medical Honor Society. After doing one year of internal medicine at UCLA-Harbor Hospital, he completed a highly prestigious dermatology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles where he was selected as Chief Resident. Since that time, in recognition of his accomplishments and contributions to teaching, he has been selected as a Full Clinical Professor at UCLA, voluntary and emeritus, and belongs to both the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics as well as, of course, the Division of Dermatology. UCLA has also recognized him as Clinical Teacher of the Year.

n addition to frequently lecturing at UCLA and Cedars- Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Saperstein has published numerous peer-review papers, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Investigative Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology.

Dr. Saperstein loves what he does and feels a great responsibility and honor in being able to address the illnesses, needs and concerns of his patients. He feels what he does is completely relationship driven, as he is allowed to take care of "people,” not rashes. His relationships with his patients over many years are very important to him and his dedication to their wellbeing is unmatched.

Dr. Saperstein has been lucky to be married for 52 years to Dr. Joan Saperstein, a Los Angeles Psychiatrist, and is at the beck and call of Jacob and Ruthie, his 2 children, as well as to their spouses. He now has the pitter patter of 4 remarkable grandchildren
Although his awards are numerous (see below), they are less important than the reward of understanding and helping those who seek his care.
